Instructions:

For the rhubarb-banana casserole, wash and peel the rhubarb and cut into 1-2 cm long pieces.

Then sprinkle with sugar. Peel the bananas and cut into slices, also sprinkle with sugar.

Beat the egg whites with salt until very stiff, then first fold in the powdered sugar mixed with vanilla sugar and the yolks.

Mix flour, starch flour and baking powder and sift into the mixture, then fold in carefully with a whisk. Grease the baking dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour in the mixture and spread the previously mixed fruit on top. Bake in the preheated oven at 200° for about 40 minutes.

Before serving, sprinkle the rhubarb-banana casserole with sugar.

Preparation Tip:

If you use very ripe bananas for the rhubarb banana casserole, you can use less sugar.
