Try this delicious cake recipe:

Mix the smooth butter with the granulated sugar until well creamy. Add the eggs a little at a time so that the mixture is well blended. In the meantime, dissolve the dark chocolate in a water bath.

Add the chocolate, which has cooled to body temperature, to the whipped butter mixture. Finally, carefully fold in the grated hazelnuts and the sifted flour.

Cover the baking tray with parchment paper and spread the mixture about 2 cm thick. Bake the cake in a heated oven at 190 °C for about 15 minutes. Let it cool down and then remove the parchment paper from the cake. Cut it once diagonally. Fill the cake with the strained currant jam and put it together again. Also spread the surface thinly with the jam.

For the glaze, stir all the glaze ingredients into the hot water. Stir the glaze at a moderate temperature for another 10 min without bringing the liquid to a boil. Spread the chocolate glaze evenly over the cake.

When spread, cut the cake into cubes. You can then decorate the cubes festively by topping them with white marzipan stars, for example.
