For the mug soft cake, line loaf pan with Kronenöl Spezial with fine butter flavor and dust with flour. Preheat oven to 160 °C (top and bottom heat).

Sift flour and baking powder. Beat eggs, powdered sugar, salt, grated lemon zest and vanilla sugar until foamy (at least 10 minutes). Slowly pour in Kronenöl Spezial with fine butter flavor while stirring constantly. Fold in flour alternately with sour cream.

Finally, pour the sour cherries into the loaf pan and bake for about 50-60 minutes on the middle rack. Let cool for approx. 15 minutes, turn out the mug soft cake from the mold and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Preparation Tip:

If you like, you can serve the mug soft serve cake with a dollop of whipped cream.
