Instructions:

For the Advent Star, melt the cooking chocolate in a water bath.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Separate the eggs.

Cream sugar with butter, gradually stir in the yolks and orange liqueur.

Sift flour with baking powder and spices.

Stir the flour mixture by spoonfuls into the butter mixture and stir in the candied orange peel. Stir in the overcooled chocolate.

Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form and gently fold into the batter.

Fill the dough into a star mold (if not silicone mold then grease and flour beforehand) and bake on the middle shelf for about half an hour.

For the glaze, mix the mulled wine with sifted powdered sugar and spread the glaze on the still hot Advent star.

Preparation Tip:

Of course, you can also cover your Advent star with chocolate icing!
