Try this delicious cake recipe:

To make the dough, knead all the ingredients together until the mixture comes away from the side of the bowl. Knead the dough on a board a few more times by hand. Preheat the oven to 50 °C, turn it off.

Leave the covered dough to rest in the oven for 30 minutes.

Then place a dishcloth on the baking board, dust with a little flour and roll out the dough as thinly as possible. Carefully pull apart thinly with the back of your hand to form a rectangle. The dough must be almost transparent. Brush strudel dough with butter and sprinkle rusk crumbs on top.

In between, peel apples, cut in half, remove core. Cut the flesh into thin slices and perhaps sprinkle with the juice of a lemon. Apple slices on the rusk crumbs form. Sprinkle with cinnamon, raisins and almond kernels. Wrap the edges of the dough and roll up loosely according to the size of the baking sheet, pressing well at the ends. Place the strudel on the greased baking tray. Bake in the oven (electric oven: 200 °C ,

gas stove: level 3) for about 50 minutes.

In between, brush with butter so that it gets a crumbly crust.

Serve with whipped cream, vanilla sauce or ice cream.
