For the fried onion, peel the onion and cut into 4 mm thick rings. Heat the oil in a deep pan, add the onion and, using a sieve ladle, keep turning and fry until light brown.
Remove with the sieve scoop and drain on kitchen paper.
Preparation Tip:
Fried onion goes wonderfully over sausage or cheese spaetzle for example. Or give it over vegetables, egg dishes, etc..
