Instructions:

A great pasta dish for any occasion:

For the meat sauce:

Roast onions, garlic and minced meat in hot olive oil until light brown and season with salt, pepper and cinnamon. Add raisins, white wine, canned tomatoes, bay leaves and oregano. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes.

For the bechamel sauce:

Foam butter in a saucepan and sweat flour in it. Add the garlic. Add the milk and bring to the boil. Cook for 12-15 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg (freshly grated) and stir in the cheese.

To finish:

Place half of the macaroni in a greased ovenproof dish and spread half of the meat sauce evenly on top. Add the remaining pasta and meat sauce on top and pour the bechamel sauce over it. Bake in a heated oven at 200 °C (fan oven 180 °C, gas mark 3-4) for 15-20 minutes.
