For the potato soup, wash the potatoes and cut into cubes of about 1 cm. Now wash the leek and cut into fine rings. Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the leek until it starts to color slightly.

Now pour the soup and add the potato cubes. Add the grated marjoram and let everything cook for about 15-20 minutes until the cubes are soft.

Remove the potato soup from the heat and puree with a hand blender. Season to taste with salt, nutmeg and caraway seeds.

If you take some soft-boiled potato cubes out of the pot before pureeing, you can use them as a tasty addition to potato soup.
