For the Purple Turnips and Sweet Potatoes with Garlic Sauce, preheat the oven to 180 °C. Peel the beets and sweet potatoes. Wrap each of the sweet potatoes in a piece of aluminum foil with about 1 tablespoon, salt and pepper.
Put the beets in an ovenproof dish and marinate with oil, salt and pepper and put everything in the oven. Cook for 30-40 minutes, turning the beets frequently.
Peel and press garlic and mix with sour cream. Season with salt and pepper. Fry the bacon in a pan until crispy.
Arrange the beets with the sweet potatoes and garlic sauce, sprinkle bacon cubes over the sauce and serve.
