For the strawberry fondue, puree the strawberries in a blender and pass through a sieve, add to the fondue pot with the cream and sugar and stir constantly over low heat until a smooth mixture is formed.
Mix cornstarch with rum, add to fondue pot, stir well and bring to a boil again. Dip with cookies and wafers.

Instead of rum, you can also use other high-proof for the strawberry fondue.
