For the curd dumplings, combine all ingredients and mix until a homogeneous mass is formed.
Then bring a large pot of sugared water to a boil and let curd dumplings slide into the water in a round shape with the help of a large cooking spoon.
Turn the heat to medium so that the water is only slightly rippling. Meanwhile, wet a large frying pan with a little oil and spread the wholemeal breadcrumbs in it.
Add a little more sugar and toast in the hot pan until the breadcrumbs are nicely dark browned. After about 10-15 minutes (depending on the size) take the dumplings out of the water and roll them in the breadcrumbs.
Finally, let the dumplings sit for another 5 minutes and then enjoy.
Preparation Tip:
You can also roll the curd dumplings in a nut and breadcrumb mixture.
