Instructions:

For the wholemeal rolls, dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and add the milk.

Mix the flour in a bowl with the yeast and the remaining ingredients and knead for about 10 minutes.

Cover and let rise at room temperature for about 45-60 minutes until doubled in volume.

Knead again briefly, form balls, place on a greased baking sheet, score 2 crosswise cuts on the top and let rise again for 20 minutes, covered.

Bake the wholemeal rolls at 200 degrees for 20 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

Add a bowl of water to the oven when baking - this will make your whole grain Weckerl juicy and crispy!
